About Us
In 1983, Alberta gravel truck drivers organized the Alberta Gravel Truckers Association for their "mutual improvement protection and general welfare". In the winter of 1989/1990, log haulers were added to the membership and the association name was changed to the Alberta Construction Trucking Association (ACTA). ACTA now includes all construction related hauling (gravel, logs, asphalt, soil, cement, excavation, bulk, etc).
